Here is a refreshing fruity thirst quencher that you could enjoy on the 4th of July weekend.

2 Apricots
5-6 Baby carrots
1/2 cup frozen mangoes (you can use fresh fruit too, I just had fresh apricots and oranges today)
1/2 cup frozen peach
1/4 orange
1/4 inch ginger
1 glass water

Method:

1. Add all the ingredients in a blender.
2. Blend and serve chill.
3. Enjoy with your friends and family!

A word about fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables :
Many a times we hear that fresh fruits and vegetables are healthier than frozen foods.
Research shows frozen fruits and vegetables are as nutritious as fresh. Frozen fruits and vegetables
are picked and processed at their height of ripeness, so they can sometimes be more flavorful and
nutritionally beneficial than fresh. For example, a frozen sweet pea is almost always a better bet
than a fresh pea, unless you pick that pea yourself and cook it the same day.
Freezing food is an especially good way to stock up on items with short seasons, like corn, berries
and stone fruit (such as peaches).

So, which frozen fruits and veggies would you store in your refrigerator?
